Andrew Sonta, Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia’s Data Science Institute and the Intelligent and Connected Systems Laboratory, will join the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) as Assistant Professor of Sustainable Civil Engineering in 2022.
At the ICSL, Andrew led work on data-driven tools for understanding energy efficiency and social impacts of our buildings and cities. His lab at EPFL will focus on data-driven modeling, analysis and design techniques for the enhancement of social and environmental objectives in the built environment. He will also contribute to new clusters at EPFL, including the Smart Living Lab and the Center for Climate Impact and Action (CLIMACT).
