Qijia Shao will join HKUST as an Assistant Professor

Our lab member Qijia just successfully defended his PhD dissertation. Congrats Dr. Shao! Qijia’s thesis titled “Weaving Physical and Physiological Sensing with Computational Fabrics” made important contributions to transforming everyday conductive fabrics into a ubiquitous and powerful sensing medium to sense both our extrinsic physical states and intrinsic physiological signals.

Qijia will be joining The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Fall 2024. Qijia is currently recruiting Ph.D. students (Spring/Fall 2025), research assistants, and visiting students! For more information, please visit his website!
